The distance from Pallaeni to Beagle Point is 65,153LY as a striaght line.
The Distant Worlds 1 route, doing all waypoints, was 81,677LY.
The Distant Worlds 2 route, doing all waypoints, was 111,397LY.
That means this expedition was a whopping 193,074LY round trip, covering 94 separate places to stop and stare at the galaxy.
DW1 and DW2 are without a doubt two of the biggest events in Elite: Dangerous history and are very fondly remembered: They were also, almost entirely, player organised and led. The Galnet articles and in-game community goals being the exceptions.
I wasn’t personally around in game to do Distant Worlds 1 or 2, but never fear: Distant Worlds 3 is coming!
